The 3rd Annual BullZeye Droughtmaster sale was one not to be missed with 72 bid cards regigistered on Friday the 13th October which saw 100 bulls go under the hammer of Auctioneer Wayne York. The eight vendors Needmor, Hamadra, S.C. , Locarno, Skye, Rondel, Sugerland and Medway present 100 droughtmaster beef bulls and the quality line of bulls was evident across the whole draft which averaged an ema of 128, scrotal’s 40.4 and the age and weight of 22.5 months, 756kg respectively.

The buyers came from far and wide and the sale averaged was a respectful $8651.00 with a 96% clearance. Bulls went across Queensland to Julia Creek, Springsure, Alpha, Gindi, Baralaba, Charters Towers, Bogantungan, Clermont, Blackwater, Milmerran, Biggenden, Gogango, Capella, Winton, Dingo and Sarina
The sale topper was Rondel “Unspoken” a 22 month old milk tooth calf, weighing 846kg, 11,8 and 143 in the scans and a scrotal of 41cm. He went to Ken & Kerry McKenzie of Yaralla Droughtmasters, Blackwater for $22,500.00. A number of other Bull breeding herds took home new Sires - Needmor, FCC, Kalbar, and Garthowen where in on the action. Repeat buyers"Arcturus Downs" from Springsure got the bulk buyer prize on the day they outlaid an average of $6062.50 on 8 bulls. Repeat buyers Sedgeford Pastoral took home 2 bulls for an average of $10,500.00, Fernie Cattle Co also took home 2 bulls to average $8500.00. New buyers were "Powermac", Julia Creek, Ben Power took home 3 bulls to average $6666.00, "Clark and Tait", Alpha secured 6 bulls for an average of $12833.00 and Phil Hodgkinson "Carmel Downs"Clermont took home 3 bulls to average $9500.00 just to name a few.
